Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about powering your next adventure.
Do I need a license to ride a Zoom Electric Bike?
Most of our electric bikes are classified as Class 1 or Class 2 e-bikes, which typically do not require a special license or insurance in most states. However, we recommend checking your local municipal laws regarding E-bike usage on public roads and trails.
How long does the battery last on a single charge?
Range varies by model and riding conditions, but most Zoom Electric Bikes offer between 35 to 60 miles per charge. Factors such as rider weight, terrain, and the level of pedal assist used will influence the total distance.
What is your shipping policy for motorized bikes?
We offer free standard shipping on all bike orders within the continental US. Due to the size and weight of the batteries, bikes are shipped via specialized freight carriers and typically arrive within 7-10 business days.
Can I ride my e-bike in the rain?
Yes, our bikes are designed with water-resistant components and IP65-rated displays. While they can handle light rain and splashing, we advise against submerging the bike in water or using high-pressure washers, as this can damage the electrical system.
What kind of warranty do you provide?
Every Zoom Electric Bike comes with a comprehensive 2-year limited warranty covering the frame, motor, and battery against manufacturing defects. We also stock a full range of replacement parts to keep you on the road.
Do the bikes arrive fully assembled?
To ensure safe shipping, bikes arrive approximately 85% assembled. You will need to install the front wheel, handlebars, and pedals. We include all necessary tools and a step-by-step video guide to help you finish the setup in about 30 minutes.
